They are also going to be bringing in a simple recipe that shows the ingredients and how much. is needed for the recipe. In religion, chapter 8 focuses on God's fairness and justice. The test will be on Friday, the 27th.

Christmas is definitely in the air. We are in the middle of presenting Christmas Around the World and are learning so much about other countries and their traditions. We are very excited about the trip to the museum next Tuesday to find all of the Christmas trees we learned about. We continue to pray our Advent prayers. Hopefully, your child's Advent wreath is in a spot for added family prayers.
There will be a chapter three math test on Friday, which focuses on addition, subtraction, and word problems. We are almost finished with chapter six but I will wait until after the holiday for that test.
The students are invited to wear their pj's to school this Friday.
Have a great week.

A note and permission slip went home today regarding the field trip. Please sign and return by Tuesday. Also, each student should bring in an empty soap box by Monday for a project we are working on.

I can't bellieve it is December already. This month is going to fly. I just wanted you to be aware of a few more events going on in fourth grade.
Mrs. Maxwell and I are working on a Christmas Around the World project. All of the work will be completed in school, the research, the writtten paper, and the poster. The onlyl thing I ask is that the poster board be brought in on Monday, Dec. 5th. We will work on it in school.
Also, the fourth graders will be participating in the mass on Thursday, December 8th, the Immaculate Conception. I believe it will be at 10:00.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had time to enjoy the long weekend. I also am hoping that your child had a chance to show you the project that we made in religion. After our saints project. we followed that same theme and the students chose someone in their life who is a role model to them. I hope that they gave the project to that particular person. There is a chapter six test in religion on Thursday. Thank you for allowing your child to "show and tell" us about some of their Baptismal items.
In math, I am taking a few minutes a day to review basic addition and subtraction, and our focus is also on two digit times two digit multiplication.
Sunday marked the beginning of Advent, and today the students are taking home the Advent wreath we made in class. There is adifferent prayer attached for each of the four weeks. I have encouraged all of them to pray together each day as a family as we prepare for the birth of Jesus.
Also, just a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, Dec. 2nd.
Have a great week.

Happy Monday,
I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weekend. I just wanted to add that our Halloween party will be on Monday the 31st. If you want to send treats, there are 22 students in our homeroom. We will still have gym in the afternoon, so please keep that in mind when deciding on a costume for your child to wear to school. Yes, the whole school can be in costume this year. Students are asked to bring in $1, $2 or $3 to be donated and split between three different charities.
In addition to the chapter four Religion test on Nov. 3, there will be a chapter two Math test on Wed. Nov.2nd. Please continue practicing multiplication at home.
In keeping with the three C's school theme, the fourth grade, starting with homeroom 210, will be pairing up with the eigth grade homerooms for prayer partners. Compassion is what we will focus on. Tomorrow, we will be painting pumpkins pink for breast cancer awareness and they will be displayed around the school. If you have any pink or white decorations at home, please send them in. In November, we will focus on our Veterans.
Have a great week.
